Can Corporation of America located in Blandon, PA started manufacturing cans in 1977 as part of Giorgio Foods. Position Summary: We are searching for a Machinist who possesses strong teamwork skills, flexibility, a willingness to learn, strong multi-tasking skills, self-starter and the ability to work independently. This position is excellent for anyone with hands-on expertise and looking to work for a company where they can grow and hone their skills. Duties & Responsibilities: The Machinist is responsible for, repairing and maintaining production tools and dies, and additional machine tooling Adjusts equipment to conform to Quality Standards Analyze a variety of blue prints (Metric & Standard ) Work from prints and specification documents to maintain or modify tool steel die sets Calculates dimensions and tolerances required to set up machine tools Performs change overs on the equipment to run different sizes of products Inspects our wide range of equipment for worn and broken parts Toubleshoot mechanical components of the m/c during breakdown and maintenance Reads and understands operation manuals and has the ability to use different tools including measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers Strong team paler that can accomplish short and long-term projects Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience preferred.
