Overview Dedicated Account Manager Job Description Oversee the daily operations drivers, jockey(s), and planners assigned to the dedicated account. Responsible for 1 on-site employee 24/7 customer service and operational coverage. Monitor load execution and proactively identify potential service failures before they occur. Recover and resolve any service disruptions or load failures with urgency and efficiency. Secure backhaul opportunities when necessary to maximize equipment utilization and operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, operations personnel, and leadership teams. Track key performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed. Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and transportation regulations (safety). Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in the transportation, trucking, or logistics industry. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment. Strong understanding of transportation operations, load planning, and customer service. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency with transportation management systems and standard business software. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience managing dedicated transportation accounts. Leadership experience overseeing drivers, dispatchers, planners, or operations personnel. Experience working directly with large customer accounts.
