Site Superintendent opportunity! Irish Creek is looking for a General Construction General Superintendent who is efficient, organized, motivated and safety-minded for Industrial, Commercial and Residential General Construction projects. Daily tasks and responsibilities will include managing and scheduling subcontractors, reviewing contract documents for subcontractor compliance, generating and managing schedules, ordering materials and equipment for small and large commercial construction projects, as well as providing training and assistance to Project Foremen. Applicants should have commercial general construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation. The ideal candidate must be able to read and understand architectural, structural and MEP drawings, communicate clear direction and project details to subcontractors, other site team members and project management, be capable of working with minimal oversight and be able to push a project forward within assigned schedule. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with OSHA and IBC Construction Standards. An OHSA 10 Hour Certification or higher, High school diploma and/or GED is mandatory. This is largely a supervisory position, but installation may be needed at times, as well as oversight, scheduling and training of Project Foreman who are willing to learn and expand into a Site Superintendent role. Site Superintendent Duties: Oversight and Managing General Construction Projects varying in scope and size. Thoroughly review, understand, schedule and implement all Contract Documents on a Project, including but not limited to Architectural, Structural and MEP Drawings, as well as Schedules and Specifications. Review Contracts documents for inconsistencies between drawings and specifications. Communicate inconsistencies or contradictions to Project Management. Know and understand the hierarchy of Contract Documents and which supersedes any others. Verify approved submittals are being installed by appropriate subcontractor(s). Ensures no additional work or deviations from the Contract Documents are made without proper authorization from Project Management. Schedule subcontractors, vendors, materials and Irish Creek forces to maintain or better Project Schedule. Maintain appropriate Project Documentation such as Foreman Meeting Minutes, Jobsite Photos, Daily reports, Two-week look ahead schedules. Verify subcontractors installation and work per Contract Documents. Maintain and push forward Project Schedule and report any delays to Project Management. Verify scopes of work from Subcontracts to Project Plans and Specifications and implement direction to subcontractors. Document daily activities thoroughly. Supervise and coordinate completion of Project Close out and Final Punch List. Communicate often and effectively with Project Management and Project Ownership. Maintain an organized and safe work site. Enforce Safety Policies on Project Site. Project Foresight and Communication with Project Management. Host and preside of Project Foreman Meetings on a weekly basis. Provide Scheduling, mentoring, oversight and training for Irish Creek Project Foreman. Miscellaneous Carpentry Installations if needed.
