As a Quality Assurance Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring that all products meet rigorous safety and quality requirements on the production floor. This hands-on, interactive position requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to guide a team and collaborate with various departments. Responsibilities Oversee daily execution of food safety and quality systems on the production floor Perform all QA Technician duties, including monitoring process controls, GMPs, sanitation, and personnel practices Collect samples for microbiological and chemical testing Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions when deviations occur Monitor employee compliance with GMPs, SOPs, and SSOPs Document, monitor, and analyze data to drive continuous improvement initiatives Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all products, packaging materials, and manufacturing processes Lead incident and complaint investigations, verifying the effectiveness of preventive and corrective actions Conduct routine and non-routine quality audits, including GMP, document, CAPA verification, process assessments, and HACCP Oversee and ensure completion of quality improvement projects Collaborate with USDA FSIS inspection staff and plant management teams Serve as backup in the absence of the QA Supervisor Qualifications 13 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a food manufacturing facility, or a college degree in a related science field Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with upper management Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to meet assigned work schedules and comply with time and attendance policies Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures Must be able to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally without assistance, and up to 100 pounds with assistance Comfortable working in cold, wet, and loud production and warehouse environments with required PPE Experience and License Requirements Manufacturing/Production Facility
