Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Therapist to join our behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in addiction counseling, mental health therapy, and clinical assessment, with a commitment to providing personalized, evidence-based care. As a Licensed Therapist Outpatient SUD, you will deliver individual and group therapy sessions, develop treatment plans, and support clients on their journey to recovery within an outpatient setting. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients seeking outpatient substance use disorder treatment. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction recovery, mental health stabilization, and relapse prevention. Provide crisis intervention and manage behavioral health emergencies with professionalism and sensitivity. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including case management, family counseling, and community resource linkage. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure timely updates of medical records. Utilize diagnostic coding systems such as ICD-10 to document client diagnoses accurately for billing and reporting purposes. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with research, best practices, and emerging trends in addiction medicine and behavioral health. Skills Extensive knowledge of psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis. Proficiency in crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies tailored to substance use disorder clients. Experience in child & family counseling, home & community care settings, hospital environments, or PTSD care is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation standards, and medical records management within a behavioral health context. Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology) for billing purposes and ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10). Ability to perform patient assessments effectively while demonstrating empathy and cultural competence. Skills in group therapy facilitation, case management, patient care planning, and data collection for quality improvement initiatives.
