Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse leader to serve as Director of Health Services supporting individuals in community-based programs. This leadership role oversees nursing services, ensures high-quality healthcare coordination, and supports teams delivering care across residential and community settings.
The Director will partner closely with executive leadership and clinical teams to ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen clinical practices, and promote the health and well-being of those served.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Provide leadership and oversight for the nursing and health services team
β’ Supervise and support nursing staff and health service coordinators
β’ Monitor healthcare coordination for individuals with complex or high-risk medical needs
β’ Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations and healthcare standards
β’ Oversee medication management practices and health protocols
β’ Coordinate medical appointments, follow-up care, and healthcare documentation
β’ Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and service planning π€
β’ Provide guidance to residential staff regarding medical and psychiatric needs
β’ Support hospital discharge planning and coordination of medical emergencies
β’ Develop and maintain health policies, procedures, and quality oversight systems
β’ Train staff on medical protocols and consumer health needs π
Qualifications
Required
β’ Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
β’ Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
β’ Experience in human services, community healthcare, or related settings
Preferred
β’ BSN
β’ Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
β’ Familiarity with state regulatory environments and residential services
