As a key member of the Tax Advisory Services team, the Tax Preparer is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality tax compliance services for a broad range of clients. This individual will focus on the accurate preparation of tax returns and assisting with tax planning initiatives under the guidance of senior tax professionals.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a foundational understanding of tax regulations, and the ability to effectively support both internal advisors and client needs. The Tax Preparer will play an important role in ensuring timely and accurate execution of tax deliverables while contributing to a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities
• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, and small businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws.
• Assist in the collection, organization, and review of client tax documents and financial information.
• Support tax planning efforts by identifying basic tax-saving opportunities and escalating more complex situations to senior team members.
• Collaborate with Financial Advisors and internal team members to gather necessary information and ensure alignment of client tax matters.
• Respond to internal and client inquiries related to tax return preparation and documentation.
• Maintain organized and complete client files in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current on tax law changes and participate in internal training and development opportunities.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and a commitment to service excellence.
Required Job Skills and Abilities
• Working knowledge of individual and small business tax return preparation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during peak tax season
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and tax preparation software
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive client information with discretion
• Strong organizational and time management skills
Qualification and Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA preferred, but not required
• 1–3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting preferred
