Stadium People is currently hiring a full-time Sports and Entertainment Event Program Manager in Athens, GA to work with our large University and other arenas and venue clients the local area. This is a high-profile position, engaging with Athletic Departments and Event Venue management, event staff employees, and outside vendors, so we are seeking a highly personable and organized individual. Our Program Managers handle all facets of event execution, from the pre-event planning, resource coordination, meetings with key team members and clients, and gameday event oversight. You will work closely with our corporate team members to ensure that all event logistics, operations, and staffing are handled efficiently and successfully. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in event management and grow within a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate and delegate event protocols from the client to Supervisory staff in charge of event personnel
• Plan event details with Sr. Event Managers prior to events to include equipment needed, food and water for staff, uniform preparation and more
• Brief and prep Supervisors who will train and deploy their staff
• Work with the venue client on any last-minute changes or updates to event schedules
• Assist in the reconciliation of staff hours to facilitate payroll
• Manage all event details on game day to include staff supervision, incident response, guest satisfaction, or moving staff to cover shortages
Qualifications:
• Strong hospitality background (Sports and entertainment, restaurant, amusement industry, hotel and resorts) where dealing with guests is a large part of the job
• 2-5 years’ experience in a staff supervisory role
• High level of organization and planning skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Ability to assign and delegate tasks
• Strong motivation skills and ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
• Background in any customer service, retail, restaurant, events or hospitality fields
• Knowledge of Athletics and/or Event Scheduling and Staffing would be a plus
