Assistant Vice President - Metals manufacturing
Seeking a AVP with extensive experience leading large-scale metals manufacturing operations , preferably serving aerospace and defense (A&D) customers. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction while balancing operational execution with business and financial objectives. They are a data-driven, metrics-focused leader who uses KPIs to improve performance, leads transformational change, and builds high-performing teams. Strong experience collaborating across operations, engineering, commercial, and executive leadership is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels. The successful candidate is a resilient, strategic people leader with demonstrated success managing complex manufacturing organizations and the potential to advance into broader executive leadership roles.
Must-Have Qualifications:
• Significant plant leadership experience in metals manufacturing (preferred).
• Experience supporting aerospace & defense customers or working within large A&D manufacturing organizations.
• Proven success improving safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost performance .
• Strong Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma , or operational excellence background.
• Experience leading organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
• Metrics-driven leadership with strong KPI and operational performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop leaders and build high-performing manufacturing teams.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Executive Management.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align plant operations with broader business objectives.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
