Senior Cost Accountant - Up to $90k + bonus
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to join its finance team and play a key role in improving margins, inventory accuracy, and operational performance. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain and reports directly to the CFO. ***100% Onsite
Responsibilties:
• Analyze manufacturing costs (labor, materials, overhead) and identify margin improvement opportunities
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
• Support product costing and profitability analysis
• Maintain and reconcile inventory, investigate discrepancies, and improve inventory controls
• Track KPIs including inventory turns, aging, and production efficiency metrics
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Support month-end close and ad hoc financial analysis
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4–5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of product costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP required)
• ERP experience required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred
