Senior Accountant - Team Lead Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join a growing organization in a leadership-track role. This opportunity is ideal for either a senior-level accountant looking to step into management or an experienced accounting leader seeking to expand their expertise in a dynamic operational environment. This role will oversee core accounting functions, support financial reporting, improve internal processes, and mentor accounting team members. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data Perform account reconciliations, analyze variances, and investigate discrepancies Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of financial statements Support billing, accounts receivable, collections, and reporting functions Assist with annual budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities Prepare required financial reports, compliance documentation, and operational analysis Develop, improve, and implement accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency Partner with operational teams to support financial processes, cost controls, and workflow improvements Supervise, train, and support accounting staff while fostering professional development Participate in special projects and perform additional accounting or financial duties as needed Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience managing full-cycle accounting functions Experience in a product-based, distribution, or operational environment preferred Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and close processes Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel Cost accounting experience is a plus Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred CPA, CMA, MBA, or prior public accounting experience is a plus Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
