Key Qualifications: Previous experience as a paraprofessional or personal care assistant (PCA) is strongly desired. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and students. Ability to follow teacher-provided lesson plans or individualized education plans. Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting young learners. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or related education preferred. Role Responsibilities: Provide direct assistance to classroom teachers, supporting instruction and classroom management. Support children’s learning activities individually and in small groups throughout the school day. Assist students with tasks related to daily living, mobility, and communication as needed. Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and safe classroom environment. Monitor student engagement and progress, reporting observations to teaching staff. Encourage positive social interactions and model appropriate behaviors. Contribute to a team approach in facilitating a successful and supportive educational experience.
