General Responsibilities: · Process pricing requests from new customers, sales team, technical group and project management team for disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. · Maintain relationships with existing disposal outlets and keep up to date disposal pricing spreadsheet. Conduct facility visits/audits as needed. · Continuously research new disposal facilities/outlets and waste transporters. Maintain information on each facility’s capabilities and processing technologies in order to optimize Elk’s waste management competitiveness. · Review disposal invoicing for project profitability and confirmation of correct rates. Submit to accounting for payment. · Manage special or complex technical projects when required. · Generate waste reports for clients and regulatory groups upon request. · Maintain working knowledge of RCRA, DOT, OSHA and other applicable federal, state and local regulations. · Understand/learn special requirements for packaging and handling of waste · Put together bids for waste removal projects and act as a project manager for those bids lining up vendor schedules, disposal approvals, and disposal delivery schedules with vendors and Elk equipment. · Responsible for getting sub pricing, disposal pricing, labor pricing, etc. · Other duties as required General Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related technical field, or a minimum of five years’ experience in waste disposal. CHMM or similar certification preferred. · HAZWOPER 40 or OSHA 30 hour training preferred. · Hazardous waste disposal experience preferred. · Above average skills with Word, Excel, search tools, email, and technical writing. · Professional attitude, effective communication skills and excellent organizational skills Pay: From $60,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Analytical chemistry: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
