Mission : The purpose of Family Services is to assist individuals, families, and the community in meeting the complexities of daily living by fostering the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and promote healthy, independent personal development, and responsible social functioning. Job Description: This role is responsible for overseeing the accurate preparation and presentation of daily, weekly, monthly and annual organizational and departmental finances. The CFO oversees/ manages all billing, payroll and finance staff - ensuring the department is effectively performing its duties, is operating with increasing efficiency and is producing clear financial statements that contain relevant data metrics to accurately analyze and assess the agency’s financial performance. The CFO is also responsible for assessing any financial risks and communicating them to the CEO. Responsibilities: · Oversees the preparation of monthly financial statements which include a cash flow projection, income statement/statement of operations, A/R aging report, A/P aging report, Balance Sheet and average clinical service rate of return analysis. · Oversees annual agency fiscal audit and the preparation of annual Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR). · Oversees the preparation of an annual agency operating budget; collaborates with agency department heads to prepare annual departmental budgets; produces quarterly program reports (i.e. budget vs actual) to all department heads. · Oversees all Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Insurance Reimbursement and Payroll job functions and staff. · Ensures the timely collection of revenue from all contracted services, insurance payors and collections from other sources of revenue. · Oversees and approves payroll; maintains salary allocation table and FTE calculations. · As the organization’s fiscal officer, may be called upon to attest to or approve various financial transactions to county and state officials. Regular communication with officials is required. · Reviews and approves agency expenditures. · Reviews financial reports and identifies recommends cost reduction strategies. · Assists with high level discussions about policy and strategy. Participates, engages, listens and learns in individual and team meetings. Responsible to represent the agency in the community with courtesy and professionalism. Responsible to review and adhere to all agency policies and procedures. Requirements: The ideal candidate must be a relational leader with at least 10 years of progressive supervisory experience working in a nonprofit finance department; prior experience working in an outpatient behavioral health setting is a plus. Proficiency working with QuickBooks or other recognizable financial databases is required. Candidate must have a finance or accounting degree and familiarity with the preparation of a CFR. Must be detailed oriented and a strong multitasker. Prior experience working within an environment that utilizes an electronic health record, and billing system is strongly preferred. Full time position in person, Monday - through Friday.
