We are searching for a part time variable adoption permanency specialist to join our team. This position will cover Berks, Montgomery, and Dauphin counties and surrounding areas. This fulfilling career allows you to be involved with helping children in their journey to their forever home as well as helping families make their dreams come true. Travel will be required with this position, but you will be reimbursed for mileage. There may be additional hours which may include evenings and weekends as needed. What Do I Need? Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical discipline such as social work or related field AND At least one year of experience working in child welfare (Required) SWAN experience (Preferred) Other Requirements You will maintain all required clearances You will maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to transport clients, as necessary. You will have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to work as a part of a team as well as individually. You will have all required documentation completed in an efficient and timely manner. You will have the ability to use typical office equipment. You will abide by all HIPAA privacy regulations. What Will I Do? You will provide monthly written caseload updates to supervisors. You will conduct an orientation with families interested in adoption. You will accept referrals for the completion of child and family profiles, child preparation, child-specific recruitment, placement, and adoption finalization services as assigned within the required timeline. You will take part in SWAN meetings, conferences, ongoing training, and matching events as assigned as well as staff meetings and regular supervision. You will stay up to date with all laws, trends, procedures, timelines, and responsibilities associated with SWAN and within the field of adoption. You will attend and testify at county judicial review hearings as requested. You will promote the welfare and permanency for children in foster care. Hours of Work Monday-Friday with the possibility of additional hours including evenings and weekends. A flexible work schedule is allowed if approved by the Adoption Permanency manager(s).
