Kline Process Systems, a Manufacturing Systems and Process Controls Integrator, is searching for an Electrical Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to join a progressive and expanding organization with nationally recognized expertise in continuous fluid process systems in dairy, infant formula, beverage and food plants. You will be involved in the entire life cycle of providing outstanding process solutions to our customer base of small, medium and Fortune 100 manufacturing clients. Your contributions will include power and control systems electrical design and layout, load calculations, equipment and material selection and specification, budgeting, procurement, project oversight, and on site system startup. Working from our headquarters in Wyomissing (Reading), Pennsylvania, you will be involved in the following activities: Work with customer requirements and specifications to design electrical/automation control systems Develop electrical schematics, conduit and wire schedules using CAD software Perform calculations to size electrical components Optimize layout of control panel Work with process engineers and other controls engineers on process automation design Select/specify/order process equipment & components Configure and Troubleshoot Instrumentation and controls hardware Write specifications, proposals, and other project related documents Create project budgets and provide input to project schedules Provide engineering support for commissioning equipment and processes The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and experience: Knowledge and understanding of control system components such PLCs and related I/O components, power supplies, VFDs, MCCs, etc. PLC programming experience is helpful but not required. Knowledge and understanding of control panel design and layout. Experience with creating ladder control panel wiring diagrams using AutoCAD. Experience with field instrumentation devices such as flow, pressure and conductivity meters, RTDs, proximity switches, etc. Experience with field instrumentation communication methods such as 4-20ma, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc. Strong ability to set up/configure field instrumentation devices Strong PC skills using AutoCAD, Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code) is helpful but not required. Your educational background should consist of the following: AS or BS in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of the experience listed above Travel: This position will involve periodic travel to customer sites throughout the United States and will vary from 2 to 3 days per month to occasional week long trips, dependent on project schedules and customer needs.
