Blue Kangaroo Packoutz of Suncoast | Business Development / Project Manager Blue Kangaroo Packoutz is a leading contents restoration company specializing in packout, cleaning, storage, and return services following fire, water, and other property losses. We work closely with homeowners, insurance carriers, adjusters, and restoration partners to provide compassionate, efficient, and detail-driven service during challenging times. Position Summary This role is a hybrid position responsible for driving new business opportunities, preparing accurate estimates, closing sales, and managing projects from initial contact through completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable balancing relationship-building with hands-on project oversight. Key Responsibilities Business Development Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters, restoration contractors, property managers, and other referral partners Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, meetings, and industry events Represent Blue Kangaroo Packoutz professionally in the community and at industry functions Track and follow up on leads to support consistent business growth Estimating & Sales Conduct site visits, walkthroughs, and/or virtual assessments to evaluate contents scope Prepare accurate estimates using industry-standard software and company pricing guidelines Communicate scope, pricing, and process clearly to homeowners, adjusters, and contractors Obtain required documentation such as photos, walkthrough approvals, and insurance information Follow up on estimates to answer questions, negotiate when appropriate, and close jobs Project Management Oversee projects from authorization through packout, inventory, storage, cleaning, and return Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and logistics to ensure projects stay on track Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, adjusters, and contractors Ensure proper documentation, inventory accuracy, and adherence to company procedures Address issues, changes, damages, or concerns promptly and professionally Monitor project progress, costs, and billing to ensure alignment with estimates and approvals Qualifications Experience in restoration, contents, construction, insurance, or a related field preferred Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams Proficiency with estimating software, CRM systems, and basic office technology Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites and meetings as needed Key Competencies Customer-focused mindset with a high level of professionalism and empathy Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Problem-solving and decision-making skills Accountability and follow-through Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project scopes What We Offer Competitive compensation (base pay plus commission or incentive structure, if applicable) Opportunity for growth within a growing restoration brand Supportive team environment Training and development in contents restoration best practices Who We Hire We look for magnetic personalities with a passion for sales, service, and making a difference.
