Position Information Business Title Lead Activities Director Applications Accepted From Public: Open to the Public Special Instructions to Applicants This position is eligible for the following benefits: Posting Number 2016373T Department Summary The Patton College of Education Stevens Center for Literacy and STEM Education seeks an enthusiastic, organized, and dependable Lead Activities Director for Green STEM Camp. Green STEM Camp is a unique summer program designed to educate and empower children and youth ages 7-11 about environmental conservation and climate change. This leadership role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development, STEM enrichment, outdoor learning, and creating engaging summer experiences for elementary-aged students. The Lead Activities Director will oversee camp activities, support counselors and instructors, and help ensure a safe, inclusive, and energetic camp environment. Position Profile Provides care and education to children. Provides support and communication to families. Supervises educational program activities and operations. Level Summary Performs professional-level work that involves basic, operational problem-solving. Independently resolves day-to-day issues and executes clearly defined tasks. Provides data analysis and informational insights to support decision-making. Supervisory Responsibilities None; may assist with training student employees. Fiscal Responsibilities No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for validating transactions. Problem Solving Solves routine problems with defined processes and guidance. Independence of Action Works under close supervision. Communication and Collaboration Collaborates with peers and follows guidance from supervisor. Physical Requirements This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs. Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and less than 3 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
