Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Material Handler to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse environment. This role is vital to ensuring smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with heavy equipment operation, contributing to a safe and productive workplace. Duties Safely load and unload materials using equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accurate order picking, shipping, and receiving documentation. Pick and pack orders with precision using pickers and other mechanical tools to meet customer specifications. Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring proper handling of heavy or fragile items through heavy lifting techniques. Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring materials are correctly labeled and stored according to safety protocols. Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities to support accurate stock levels. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily tasks, prioritize shipments, and optimize workflow. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes to ensure operational safety. Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies during daily operations. Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing documentation, verifying shipments, and managing inbound/outbound logistics. Experience Proven warehouse distribution experience with a strong understanding of materials handling procedures. Prior experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control software. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Previous roles involving order picking, shipping & receiving, or construction site logistics are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments. Experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required.
