Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sit Down Forklift Operator (CLAMP) to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will operate a sit-down forklift equipped with a clamp attachment to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse management will ensure smooth and safe logistics operations. Shift: 1:00PM to 9:00PM Duties Safely operate a sit-down forklift with clamp attachments to load, unload, and transport various materials and products throughout the warehouse. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders in accordance with shipping & receiving protocols. Perform heavy lifting tasks and handle materials with precision using equipment such as pallet jacks, cranes, and clamp trucks. Assist with order picking activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in fulfilling customer orders or internal requests. Load and unload trucks by coordinating with warehouse supervisors to optimize space utilization and maintain safety standards. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks to ensure mechanical integrity and adherence to OSHA safety regulations. Support warehouse operations by participating in inventory management, cycle counts, and maintaining organized storage areas. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down preferred), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment within a warehouse or construction environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling techniques. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment such as forklifts and cranes. Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems for order processing and inventory control. Warehouse experience including working with pickers or similar order picking systems is highly desirable. Ability to lift heavy loads consistently while maintaining proper safety techniques; physically fit for demanding tasks.
