Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network has an immediate need for a full time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) at our East Greenville outpatient site. JOB SUMMARY: The ideal candidate would have experience working with the pediatric population in an outpatient setting. This individual would be part of an interdisciplinary team. HOURS: Varies, as needed, some evening availability preferred Monday - Friday ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: IDENTIFIES PATIENT REHABILITATION CARE REQUIREMENTS By assessing patient condition upon order of physician and at regular intervals during assigned shift PLANS, IMPLEMENTS AND EVALUATES REHABILITATIVE CARE By setting goals, collaborating and communicating with health-care team, patients and families PROVIDES INFORMATION TO PATIENTS AND HEALTHCARE TEAM By meeting them MONITORS DELIVERY OF CARE By completing patient rounds ASSURES QUALITY OF CARE By fostering practices that adhere to the hospital’s philosophy, goals and standards of care; measuring outcomes against patient care goals and standards PROTECTS SELF, CO-WORKERS, AND PATIENTS By interpreting and implementing policies and procedures to prevent the spread of blood borne and/or airborne diseases RESPECTS PATIENTS By recognizing their rights MAINTAINS SAFE AND CLEAN WORKING ENVIRONMENT By complying with procedures, rules and regulations ENSURES OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT By following manufacturers’ instructions MAINTAINS SUPPLIES INVENTORY By checking stock to determine inventory level MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE By attending educational workshops CONTRIBUTES TO THE TEAM EFFORT By accomplishing related results as needed, follows through on delegated tasks, responds to coworkers requests for assistance, demonstrates behaviors as defined by the GSSH-A code of conduct and acts as a resource and/or leader when the need arises.
