Steves & Sons, a door manufacturing company founded in 1866, is seeking a Bilingual Receptionist to perform front desk, office duties and to assist in our HR Dept.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES :
Customer and Visitor Services
Â
• Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and vendors.
• Direct visitors to the appropriate people or departments.
• Provide basic information about the company, products, or processes upon request.
Â
Call Handling and Communications
Â
• Answer phone calls from clients, suppliers, or carriers, as needed.
• Transfer calls to the correct department (Receiving, Shipping, Production, etc.).
• Take and relay messages when staff members are unavailable.
• Review and respond to general company emails.
Â
Documentation and Basic Administration
Â
• Receive invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier documents, when necessary.
• File physical or digital documents in an organized and sequential manner.
• Assist with creating simple reports or material inbound/outbound records.
• Maintain control of office and (some) production supplies and submit replenishment requests.

Light Logistics Coordination
Â
• Record product orders to maintain proper stock and handling.
• Make purchases for cleaning and common area maintenance.
• Verify delivery documents under their responsibility (POs, invoices, packing lists).
Â
Support to Other Departments
Â
• Coordinate with the Human Resources department on matters such as interviews or new employee arrivals.
• Assist the sales or purchasing team with basic tasks (e.g., requisitioning some stationery materials).
• Help organize internal or external meetings.
Â
Basic Supervision of Reception Area Cleanliness and Order
Â
• Ensure the entrance, reception, and waiting area are clean and tidy.
• Inform maintenance or cleaning staff if attention is needed.
• Keep the uniform storage organized by size.
Â
Compensation:
• $16.00/hour + $300 Bi-weekly attendance bonus.

Work Environment
• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Works inside air-conditioned office in a cubicle environment with office noise; occasionally bend and stretch over shoulder.
• May sit for over six hours a day; May use computer keyboard and monitor for over six hours a day; High volume use of telephone and computer.

Knowledge and Experience
• Computer experience is a MSOffice environment required.
• Previous administration experience is desired.
• Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
• Must have demonstrated the ability to work both as a team member and on own initiative.
• Able to organize and complete routine tasks to set standards.
• Be able to carry out any other necessary duties as agreed with Management Team.
• Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year work experience in a professional office/administrative environment
