Professional Organizer & Downsizer
We’re Growing at Simple Solution Organizing LLC
After 23 years in business, I’m looking to bring on additional Professional Organizers to support our work with older adults and families navigating life transitions.
This is subcontract work — flexible, with no set or guaranteed hours. You are always free to say yes or no to projects. It’s a wonderful fit for someone semi-retired or retired (former teachers, nurses, social workers, or helping professionals often thrive in this role).
A few important things:
This is a very physical job.
You are on your feet most of the day — sorting, lifting, moving, and organizing.
But even more important than the physical aspect is the emotional intelligence required.
We work primarily with older clients. Many are downsizing, widowed, or navigating significant life changes. Helping someone decide what to keep and what to let go of requires patience, empathy, and strong listening skills. It is meaningful, sensitive work.
The ideal person is:
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• A great listener
• Calm, kind, and non-judgmental
• Physically able to move and work for extended periods
• Professional and able to maintain confidentiality
This is not just about organizing things — it’s about helping people move forward with dignity.
