Field Service Technican - Electro-Mechanical
The Field Service Technician provides on‑site installation, repair, and maintenance of technical equipment across the Baltimore area. The role supports customers via field visits and telephone, diagnosing issues and ensuring equipment operates reliably. The technician maintains inventory, follows safety protocols, and collaborates with the regional lead technician.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report daily activities to the regional lead technician
• Initiate and prioritize daily tasks independently
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety policies
• Use scheduling and reporting software to log work and communicate with customers
• Replenish and manage inventory for repair parts
• Care for company vehicle, laptop, phone, and tools
• Build and sustain professional relationships with customers
• Travel to factory training sessions on products
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call and technical support rotations
• Provide field service support via visits and telephone
Qualifications:
• Higher Technical Certificate, Associate’s Degree (2 years), or equivalent experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience with installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of technical equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized software for maintenance and reporting
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with scheduling and reporting software
Preferred Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of electro‑mechanical experience
• Knowledge of automated material handling equipment
• Familiarity with field service industry
