Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electro-Optics Technician located in Sparks Glencoe, MD. The Electro-Optics Technician will be responsible for assembling, testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electro-optical components and systems. The role includes working closely with engineering teams to ensure product performance and quality standards, analyzing data to improve system functionality, and maintaining detailed documentation of processes and outcomes. The technician will also support production workflows and adhere to established industry and safety standards while operating specialized equipment.
Qualifications
• Experience in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electro-optical systems and components
• Knowledge of optics, lasers, and photonics principles
• Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrometers, and power meters
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and best practices
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus
• An associate degree in Electronics, Optics, or a related technical field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
