PHM Engineer (Top Secret Clearance Required or ability to renew/obtain one) SNI Technology/Paladin is seeking an experienced PHM Engineer for a full-time/direct hire opportunity supporting a high-visibility defense aviation program located onsite at NAS Patuxent River (Lexington Park, MD area). The PHM Engineer will support the development, evaluation, and sustainment of Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) systems for aircraft and support platforms. This role involves health management analysis, system performance evaluation, reliability initiatives, and collaboration with engineering and sustainment teams supporting naval aviation programs. Responsibilities
Develop and evaluate Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) program plans and requirements for aircraft and support systems
Perform PHM analyses, predictions, allocations, and metric calculations
Conduct Fault Detection, Fault Isolation, and Testability Analyses
Monitor Health Management System development to ensure design compliance with requirements
Attend and support BIT Review Board (BRB) meetings and hardware/software design improvement efforts
Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for PHM impacts and considerations
Identify PHM problem areas and assist with design modifications and corrective actions
Support Integrated Health Management System (IHMS) and Built-In-Test (BIT) process development and performance
Review OEM and supplier deliverables related to health management systems
Collect and analyze onboard/offboard PHM data and populate FRACAS databases
Generate technical reports outlining findings, trends, and recommendations
Support development of organic sustainment solutions for health management systems Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Aeronautics, Electronics, or related technical field
5+ years of engineering or PHM-related experience
Experience testing and evaluating health management systems
Experience supporting or working within the NAVAIR acquisition process
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel as required Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of CBM+, Integrated Diagnostics, FRACAS, and statistical analysis methods
Experience developing algorithms for health management data analysis
Experience developing health monitoring data processing procedures in classified and unclassified environments
Familiarity with ground station health monitoring operations Security Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Active Top Secret Clearance required
Ability to work within government classified spaces required
