The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for supporting the full recruitment cycle, maintaining effective communications and managing the administrative responsibilities of the recruitment team. This position holds various responsibilities within the HR Partnerships and Service team, including assisting in the implementation of new technologies for recruiting and working to support the talent acquisition function. The ideal candidate is organized and has standout communication skills, with a desire to support a fast-paced and developing HR organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide administrative assistance to facilitate an effective recruiting cycle that ensures a positive candidate and internal customer experience.
• Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track candidate and hire progress, track and report key metrics and appropriately disposition candidates as needed.
• Maintain all talent acquisition process documents, regularly maintain relevant databases and electronic files, audit records and assist in administering background checks, as needed.
• Maintain interview and screening schedules, communicating with candidates regarding timelines and outcomes.
• Maintain effective communications with candidates and hires through the HR main line and Recruiting email inbox, answering inquiries and escalating complex issues for resolution.
• Attend and assist with various HR and recruitment events including new employee orientation hiring events, career fairs, and recruitment trainings.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with hiring leads, recruiters, and HR team members to address issues and maintain an efficient and effective recruitment process.
• Assist with cross functional HR projects to improve service delivery,

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Human Resources experience

• Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, or related software.
Problem Solving • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Physical and Sensory Abilities • Required to travel to local and campus locations.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
• Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds at times.

Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well lighted, and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
Use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
