Job Details — Travel Surgical Technologist (Lynchburg, VA)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810 - $1,940
• Location: Lynchburg, Virginia (zip code 24501) — travel surgical technologist position
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (6/29/2026 – 9/26/2026)
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts (3:00pm–11:00pm); up to 3 call shifts/week (Mon–Fri)
• Weekend Call: Not more than 3 weekends per 6-week schedule; weekend shifts include 7:00am–3:00pm call and 3:00pm–11:00pm working shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Orientation Dates: 6/15 and 6/29 (every other Monday)
• Travel Position: Locals not accepted — applicants must be available for travel assignment
Required Qualifications — Surgical Technologist Jobs (Virginia)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience as a Surgical Technologist / OR Tech
• Prior travel experience required — experience as a travel surgical technologist preferred
• Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential and valid Virginia license or proof of application for temporary license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA
• Competency in General, Robotic, Vascular, and Neuro surgery cases
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Approved declinations for COVID/Flu accepted; follow facility immunization policy
Responsibilities — Operating Room Tech / Surgical Technologist
• Assist surgeons and perioperative nurses during a wide range of surgical procedures (General, Robotic, Vascular, Neuro)
• Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, sterile supplies, and equipment
• Ensure a sterile field and strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols
• Set up specialty trays and robotic instruments; perform instrument counts and turnover procedures
• Participate in scheduled evening shifts and on-call rotations as assigned
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
