The Extrusion TPO is responsible for the department’s success in Safety, Quality, Cost, OEE, and equipment maintenance. TPO helps with continuous improvement using Operational Excellence tools.Pay rate: $24.30/Hour + $1.50 Shift Differential Schedule: Rotation Between Days and Nights Throughout the Month (7 AM - 7 PM & 7 PM - 7 AM)In this role, you will:Perform quality checks on plastic film through specified and detailed quality control procedures.Process daily loose scrap materials using specified procedures.Troubleshoot equipment and process failures and complete some minor mechanical repairs.Perform routine and unique mechanical and preventative maintenance tasks.Able to perform Autonomous Maintenance (AM) on equipment and follow sustainability processes.Remove or replace various large and small pieces of equipment using hand tools as needed.Perform frequent data entry into computer systems.Perform detailed equipment start-up procedures.Routinely monitor equipment and product temperatures.Operate various pallet jacks, fork trucks, and banding equipment.Perform equipment set-up changes through removing, modifying, adjusting, and/or installing parts.Perform process changes or adjustments to ensure the production of high-quality finished products.Perform daily and other periodic housekeeping and work area organization tasks.Maintain and update detailed departmental equipment and production performance metrics and reports.Communicate daily with peers and managers on departmental performance and issues as it relates to safety, quality, production and other departmental metrics and resource needs.May be required to perform team coordination activities related to team safety, quality, production scheduling or other core business functions. Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.Complete all required training in a timely manner.Complete other routine and unique tasks and projects as assigned.Physical Requirements Ability to tolerate sustained standing/walking up to 10 hours a day, for up to 7 consecutive days.Ability to perform occasional to frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.Ability to utilize good eye-hand coordination.Ability to perform occasional bending and squatting.Ability to tolerate kneeling and/or crawling in small and confined spaces.Ability to tolerate exposure to non-weather-related hot temperatures.Ability to use coordination and dexterity in fingers while wearing protective gloves.Ability to push/pull material weighing up to 25 lbs.Ability to frequently climb and descend stairs.
