Role Description
This is a full-time role located in Altavista, VA for a Pipe Welder specializing in GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) techniques. The Pipe Welder will be responsible for performing precise welding tasks, reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, selecting proper welding processes based on material and project requirements, inspecting completed welds for quality assurance, and maintaining welding equipment. Candidates will primarily work in an industrial environment, collaborating with a team to address maintenance and repair needs. With our customers in our 75 mile radius of Altavista
Qualifications
• Certifications in various welding techniques including GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), MIG, and general welding operations.
• Strong understanding of materials and hands-on experience working with different metals and alloys.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with arc welding practices and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated capability in inspecting and ensuring the quality of completed welds.
• Attention to detail, teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently in an on-site industrial setting.
• Welding certifications and prior experience in industrial repair and maintenance are preferred.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
