Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Director of Maintenance to oversee all aspects of facility operations, safety systems, and preventive maintenance. This role is critical to ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily maintenance operations of the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, OSHA, and life safety regulations
• Manage building inspections, repairs, and emergency response procedures
• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff and contractors
• Maintain safety equipment such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and generators
• Collaborate with leadership on capital improvement projects and budgeting
• Ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance requests
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, inspections, and certifications
Qualifications
• Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or senior living
• Prior supervisory or management experience required
• Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems
• Familiarity with Life Safety Code and healthcare regulatory standards
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to respond to on-call or emergency situations as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred
