We are a billion-dollar, industry-leading manufacturing organization seeking an experienced and highly motivated EHS Engineer IV to play a critical role in advancing our safety, health, and environmental performance.

What You’ll Do
As an EHS Engineer IV, you will serve as a subject matter expert and key leader in driving EHS performance across operations.
Safety & Environmental Leadership
• Lead initiatives that strengthen a culture of safety, accountability, and environmental stewardship
• Champion proactive risk identification, hazard mitigation, and behavior-based safety programs
Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations
• Maintain permits, reporting requirements, and compliance documentation
• Stay current on evolving regulations and drive implementation of necessary changes
Risk Management & Incident Prevention
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and environmental impact evaluations
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing sustainable corrective actions
• Develop strategies to prevent recurrence and improve overall safety performance
Program Development & Continuous Improvement
• Design, implement, and enhance EHS programs, policies, and procedures
• Drive continuous improvement using data analytics, trending, and industry best practices
• Support lean and operational excellence initiatives from a safety and environmental perspective
Training & Engagement
• Develop and deliver impactful training programs for employees, leaders, and contractors
• Influence behavior at all levels through coaching, communication, and collaboration
• Promote awareness and ownership of EHS responsibilities across the organization
Audits & Performance Monitoring
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and environmental compliance assessments
• Track and analyze key performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Support external audits and regulatory inspections
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, and leadership teams to integrate EHS into all aspects of the business
• Provide technical expertise during process changes, capital projects, and operational improvements
What You Bring
Experience & Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
• 7–10+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy operations environment
Technical Expertise
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations
• Experience with safety management systems, environmental permitting, and industrial hygiene principles
• Proven success in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation
Leadership & Influence
• Ability to lead initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Strong coaching and communication skills with a focus on driving behavioral change
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships across function
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
• Data-driven approach to identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Ability to solve complex technical and organizational challenges
Additional Strengths
• Experience delivering EHS training and developing programs
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Willingness to travel as needed
