Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mortgage Loan Originator at Gateway Mortgage. Based in Lynchburg, VA, this role allows for a combination of in-office work and partial remote flexibility. The responsibilities of the Mortgage Loan Originator include originating residential mortgage loans, evaluating and analyzing loan applications, guiding clients through the home financing process, and building strong relationships with clients and referral partners to expand the customer base.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Loan Origination and Mortgage Lending processes
• Strong skills in Underwriting and evaluating loan applications for approval
• Thorough understanding of Loans, Finance, and financial compliance guidelines
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and referral partners
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work effectively
• Prior experience in the mortgage or banking industry is preferred
• Active mortgage loan originator license (per state and federal requirements)
