About the Activities Assistant Role:
As an Activities Assistant at Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, organize, and implement activities that promote social, emotional, and physical well-being. This includes, but is not limited to, recreational activities, exercise programs, and social events. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to identify and address the unique needs of each patient, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Activities Assistant Responsibilities:
• Implement activities that are tailored to the needs and interests of our patients, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff to incorporate activities into patient care plans
• Lead and participate in activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all participants
• Document patient participation and progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
• Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to secure resources and materials for activities
• Assist with special events and celebrations, such as birthdays and holidays
