Job Description
Are you a passionate Environmental, Health & Safety leader looking to make a meaningful impact in a manufacturing environment? We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, safety, and security initiatives at our Reading facility while driving a culture focused on safety, sustainability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, developing proactive EHS strategies, supporting operational performance, and championing initiatives that strengthen workplace safety and sustainability across the site.
What You’ll Do
Lead Site EHS Strategy & Compliance
• Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security management systems
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, OSHA standards, RC14001, ISO14001, and other applicable requirements
• Drive site safety initiatives and foster a culture focused on injury prevention and operational excellence
• Support sustainability and KAITEKI initiatives across the facility
Drive Continuous Improvement
• Lead risk assessments, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and process safety initiatives
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Leadership teams to identify and resolve EHSS risks
• Develop annual EHS plans, goals, metrics, and continuous improvement strategies
• Monitor and communicate key EHS performance indicators and site metrics
Lead & Develop Teams
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the EHSS team and site leadership support personnel
• Facilitate EHS awareness, employee training, and engagement initiatives throughout the facility
• Serve as a mentor and resource for cross-functional teams focused on operational and safety improvements
• Participate as a key member of the site leadership team supporting plant-wide decision-making
Audit, Reporting & Operational Support
• Manage internal and external EHSS audits and corrective action programs
• Serve on the Americas Internal Audit Team and support regional EHS initiatives
• Partner with departments to improve housekeeping, 5S, safety performance, and operational compliance
• Support investigations, reporting, and corrective actions related to incidents, releases, and risk reduction efforts
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field
• 3–5 years of EHSS management experience in an industrial environment or 10+ years of related EHS leadership experience
• Strong understanding of OSHA, environmental compliance, and industrial safety practices
• Experience within manufacturing or industrial operations environments required
• Knowledge of plastics manufacturing preferred
• Proven leadership and team development experience
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as DMAIC preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
• Professional certifications such as CSP or CIH preferred
• Ability to travel up to 25%, including occasional international travel

The salary range for this position is $103,400 - 129,300. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
