Optometrist
Athens Eye Doctors & Surgeons is seeking a motivated and compassionate Optometrist (OD) to join our growing, multi-location practice. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in a collaborative, full-scope medical setting alongside experienced ophthalmologists and optometrists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive eye examinations, including refractions and contact lens fittings
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases (e.g., glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, diabetic retinopathy)
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients
- Collaborate closely with ophthalmologists on co-managed care
- Deliver patient-centered education and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records (EHR documentation)
- Occasionally travel to satellite locations
