Position Summary:
The Rental Fleet Coordinator is responsible for units not gaining revenue by focusing on Cycle Time and Dead Line Reports.
Major Responsibilities:
• Rental Fleet Maintenance Oversight — Monitor and manage maintenance deadlines for the rental fleet, providing proactive support to field operations to drive maximum vehicle uptime and operational efficiency.
• Daily Deadline Reporting — Compile and distribute daily maintenance deadline reports to field leadership, ensuring timely visibility into fleet service requirements and actionable next steps.
• 24/7 Road Call Monitoring & Proactive Diagnostics — Continuously monitor road call reports and proactive diagnostic alerts to identify units requiring immediate or preventative service. Collaborate cross-functionally with Proactive and Vehicle Diagnostics teams to coordinate timely service interventions and minimize unplanned breakdowns.
• Monthly Trend Analysis & Reporting — Track and analyze monthly 24/7 road call data to identify recurring trends, develop insights, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the rental fleet.
• Warranty Campaign Management — Monitor and manage all active warranty campaigns affecting the rental fleet. Partner with field teams to facilitate timely unit scheduling, ensure proper service completion, and maintain accurate campaign compliance records.
• Additional Duties — Support various projects and tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to overall fleet operations objectives.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 years of related field rental/service experience required
• Must have strong knowledge of truck body components
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build relationships with corporate and field associates
• Strong negotiation skills required
• Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
