Manufacturing Associate needed to support chemical manufacturing, machine operation, process monitoring, product quality, packaging, housekeeping, and safe plant operations.
Job Requirements
• Ability to follow policies and procedures related to safety, quality, security, and operations
• Experience reading and working with SOPs preferred
• Chemical handling or light chemical manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic mechanical equipment operation knowledge
• Basic math skills
• Ability to monitor multiple processes at the same time
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate safety rule and regulation competency after training
• Ability to understand and follow posted facility signage
• Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures
• Knowledge of safe equipment operation procedures and operator manuals
• Understanding of hazard communication policies
• Ability to use required PPE for assigned tasks
• 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision required
• Full range of motion to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, and kneel
• Ability to perform repetitive strenuous work under varying climate conditions
• Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to work in a plant environment with varying temperatures and physical requirements
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Preferred Skills
• Forklift operation experience
• Chemical manufacturing experience
• Light industrial production experience
• Experience with raw material handling through final product packaging
• Experience operating production machinery
• Experience controlling manufacturing processes
• Experience with autonomous maintenance activities
• Experience training laborers or manufacturing associates
• Experience supporting safety audits or safety meetings
• Experience with production documentation and material counts
Job Responsibilities
• Follow standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations
• Use proper PPE for each assigned task and maintain PPE in usable condition
• Operate equipment and perform production tasks according to training and supervisor direction
• Support production from raw material processing through final product packaging
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process
• Alert supervisors of potential out-of-compliance issues
• Perform startup and shutdown activities as directed
• Participate in cross-training across line positions
• Maintain accurate counts and document products produced or used
• Keep production lines organized, clean, and free of hazards
• Grease, adjust, or clean assigned production line components as part of autonomous maintenance
• Support safety targets established by supervisors and management
• Train laborers and new manufacturing associates
• Perform general labor duties as needed to meet production requirements
• Attend safety meetings
• Conduct safety audits
• Maintain housekeeping responsibilities across assigned work areas
Pay Details: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour
