Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler, 1st Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
In the Material Handler role, you will be responsible for receiving and issuing raw materials, assemblies, sub-assemblies, tools, and supplies. You will ensure all required documentation is routed to Computer Services for data entry, support planners and buyers with material availability processes, and prepare finished goods and raw materials for packing and shipment as needed.
• Maintain a safe, engaged, and inclusive work environment by following all policies, using proper PPE, operating equipment safely, and performing 5S duties while promoting safety at all times.
• Operate material handling equipment (including forklifts) and hand tools to load, unload, move, store, and deliver materials to appropriate locations and work centers.
• Manage inventory and materials using supply chain systems (DMM, AS400, Enovia), including fulfilling job carts, tracking materials, and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Perform quality-related tasks such as visual inspections, identifying nonconforming materials, troubleshooting errors, and completing scrap documentation.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and conducting root cause analysis for production or quality issues.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, assist planners and buyers with material availability, and cross-train to support other roles as needed.
• Maintain physical stamina to perform manual tasks and ensure all work is completed accurately and in compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications:
Basic:
• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Forklift certified.

Preferred:
• Knowledge of AS400 and its application in daily operations.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials.
• Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds.
• Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color distinction.
Work Environment:
• Regular exposure to noise while performing job duties.
• Frequent exposure to dust in the work area.
