Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Sub-Assembly Technician I, 2nd Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $18.11 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Modnay through Thursday from 3:00 pm until 1:00 am.
This position is eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
In the Assembly Technician – Sub-Assembly role, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring medium-voltage sub-assemblies and internal components.
• Interpret manufacturing instructions, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and both written and verbal directions from supervisors or engineering, following established procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections of materials before and after assembly, identify nonconforming parts, and perform troubleshooting as needed. You may also be required to conduct hipot testing on assemblies.
• Use a variety of fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, and repair components. Perform tasks such as layout, drilling, sawing, punching, riveting, and painting materials as required.
• Apply proper identification labels to completed sub-assemblies in accordance with requirements.
• Organize finished products into shipping groups for external customers and prepare assemblies for shipment or storage as appropriate.
• Assemble, wire, and mount equipment for both sub-assemblies and customer service orders.
• Complete required checklists and feedback documentation for finished products.

Qualifications:
Basic (Required):
•    High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
•    Experience with hand and pneumatic (air) tools.

Preferred:
•    3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
•    3 months of experience using hand and air tools
•    South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
Position Criteria
•    Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
•    Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
•    Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.
Physical Demands (with or without reasonable accommodation):
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and material manipulation.
• Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more.
• May be required to operate material‑handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles.
• Must meet vision requirements, including near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.
Work Environment
• Regular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust in a manufacturing environment.
