MIDDLE SCHOOL MAGNET SCHOOL - NORTHSIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL
ELA TEACHING POSITION
REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid SC certification in Middle Level ELA
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Gifted and Talented Endorsement (If the candidate does not currently have GT Endorsement, the candidate must complete the requirements for the endorsement within one year.)
• Middle School certification
• At least 5 years of Middle School teaching experience
CONTRACT:
190 days
SALARY:
Teacher salary scale, based on degree and experience
DUTIES:
• Plan for and provide rigorous, accelerated instruction to state identified academically and/or artistically gifted and talented students
• Collaborate with core content and magnet teachers to provide students with opportunities in accelerated learning
• Monitor the students' progress and performance throughout the year
• Assist in after-school activities
• Participate in additional training and professional development
