A well-established General Contractor is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to support diverse ground-up commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of project types, including retail, office, mixed-use, and other commercial developments while working alongside an experienced leadership team.
Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities
• Support the Project Manager throughout all phases of construction, from preconstruction through closeout
• Assist with budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation
• Help manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement activities
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor project progress, safety compliance, and quality standards
• Identify issues proactively and help implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget
Assistant Project Manager Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in commercial ground-up construction
• Experience supporting projects in sectors such as retail, office, mixed-use, or other commercial builds
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with construction management software and project processes
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
