Maintenance Supervisor

Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead maintenance operations to ensure equipment readiness, production efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards. You’ll manage a skilled team, support continuous improvement, and help maintain a safe, high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Maintenance Teams - Supervise Mechanics, Machine Cleaners, and Tool Room Attendants to ensure equipment readiness and cleanliness.
• Drive Equipment Reliability - Monitor equipment performance and implement continuous improvement actions.
• Collaborate Across Departments - Work with other shifts and teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Ensure Food Safety Compliance - Maintain strict adherence to GMP, SOP, HACCP, allergen control, and SQF requirements.
• Support Production Scheduling - Align labor and equipment resources to meet production goals.
• Manage HR Responsibilities - Interview, coach, conduct performance reviews, and support leadership development.
• Promote Workplace Safety - Investigate incidents, reduce risks, and reinforce safe working practices.
• Lead Communication & Training - Run weekly team meetings and train new employees on SOPs, GMPs, safety, and equipment use.
About You:
• 5+ years supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; formal technical training preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Knowledge of:
• Electrical systems up to 480 VAC
• Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC troubleshooting
• Hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Lockout/Tagout
• MIG/TIG welding, plumbing, refrigeration
• Familiarity with food processing and GMPs preferred.
• Strong communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work overtime or on-call when required.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English for safety and operational communication.
