About the Role:
The Senior Industrial Engineer (IE) Engineer plays a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality within a manufacturing environment. This position involves analyzing current production workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and designing innovative solutions that align with organizational goals. The Senior IE Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality assurance and supply chain to implement process improvements and ensure seamless operations. They lead projects that drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven methodologies and industrial engineering principles. Ultimately, this role is critical in supporting the company’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainable manufacturing practices across its United States facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
• Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Familiarity with automation technologies and robotics integration in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and projects.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed time and motion studies to evaluate manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement process optimization strategies to increase production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with production teams to design and refine workflows, equipment layouts, and workstations.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other industrial engineering tools.
• Analyze production data and generate reports to support decision-making and track performance metrics.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices and process improvements.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and product standards.
• Support capacity planning and resource allocation to meet production targets and deadlines.
