Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, proficient at inter-office collaboration, and passionate about leading electrical engineering projects. As a valued team member, you'll take on key responsibilities as you guide design teams, collaborate with Project Managers and other disciplines, lead construction administration activities and support business development efforts, all while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform investigations, analyses, reports, studies, scopes, cost estimates, technical documentation, and design tasks for various electrical engineering projects.
• Present technical and design solutions directly to clients.
• Plan design development and construction drawings.
• Supervise and lead design teams, ensuring successful execution of project plans.
• Inspect and perform evaluations of electrical engineering components in the field.
• Assist with projects from inception to completion, collaborating with project leadership to develop technical solutions and oversee design delivery.
• Oversee project components and workflows, organize cost estimates, and manage bid preparation to align with client requirements and budget constraints.
• Review work delegated to team members while providing mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Affix your professional seal to final documents and drawings, assuming responsibility for the accuracy of others.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited institution with major coursework in electrical engineering or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a practicing Professional Engineer (PE).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within six (6) months of employment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other computer-aided design and engineering systems relevant to electrical design.
• Possess a strong work ethic.
• Possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
