Job Title: Janitor / Housekeeper (Evening Shift)
Job Description
This evening shift janitor and housekeeping role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in a health center after hours. You will clean operating rooms and common areas, remove trash, and perform general custodial and environmental services to support staff, visitors, and patients.
Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize operating rooms, patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established procedures.
• Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Remove trash and waste from designated areas and dispose of it safely and properly.
• Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and other cleaning materials as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, and other shared spaces within the health center.
• Follow health center protocols for cleaning and sanitizing areas that may have higher hygiene requirements.
• Work independently or as part of a small team to complete assigned cleaning tasks within the scheduled shift.
• Use cleaning tools and equipment safely and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Support a clean and orderly environment for office staff, doctors, nurses, and patients who may be present after hours.
Essential Skills
• Experience with general cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial duties in a professional setting.
• Ability to perform tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Knowledge of basic janitorial practices, including trash removal and restroom cleaning.
• Capability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions with attention to detail.
• Reliability and strong work ethic, with consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Positive attitude and willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and in small teams in an after-hours environment.
• Comfort working in a health center setting and around staff and patients.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gilbertsville, PA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
