Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Job Title:   Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)Employment Type:  Full time Shift: 8:00 am -4:30 pm, Monday - FridayLocation:  Surgical OncologyHighlights: Competitive salaryBenefits – Medical, Dental & Vision, PTO, Free Parking, Tuition Reimbursement, 403(b)Quality of Life: Flexible work schedulesDescription:Performs patient care duties delegated by the Provider or clinical staff, maintains close communication and collaboration with clinical team, patient charts management, initial and on-treatment assessments, , medical record management, assists with inpatient and skilled nursing facility patients,  as well as data collection, data entry, analysis.Responsibilities: Rooms patients; take and documents vitalsAssists with reviewing and updating medicationsCompletes and documents screening assessments  Ensures all patient charts are reviewed and complete prior to visitProvides education to new patientsPerform IV therapy as neededMonitors on-treatment patient statusParticipates in weekly chart rounds and facilitates data collectionMaintains clinical area compliant with TJC requirementsConducts hand hygiene observations and documents accordinglyWhat you will need:Required:Medical Assistant diploma from a medical assistant education program and/or high school diplomaNational certification from an accredited organization (such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA)Current C.P.R. certification issued through American Heart AssociationMedical or patient care experience in a health center or hospital setting as demonstrated through clinical hours or prior work experience.Ability to communicate clearly and effectivelyComputer literacy in Microsoft products and email. Experience with EHR software and EPIC a plus.Preferred:Excellent IV Therapy skills.Pay Range: $19.56 - $24.39Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
