3rd Shift Sanitation Operator
Essential Duties And Responsabilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other related duties may be required and assigned.
• Operates cleaning equipment, chemicals, and tools as required to thoroughly sanitize
Facility and machinery.
• Must be familiar with safe machine operations where equipment must be cleaned while
running. Must be familiar with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Cleans Production and all other Departments as required.
• Follows GHS Hazard Communications Standard (HazCom) in properly marking and
handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Fills, stacks, moves, and handles materials weighing from 40 to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Assists in training of sanitation staff as requested.
• Operates forklift to remove refuse containers.
• Notifies Supervisor on status of refuse containers and Roll-off area, coordinating the
removal of full containers.
• Reinforce Sunsweet’s Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense requirements and maintain
awareness of all food safety and product quality standards, to manufacture a wholesome
and safe product for our customers.
• Operates CIP systems or cleaning equipment to maintain a sanitary Facility environment.
• Performs other duties relating to the overall effort as directed.
Knowledge/Skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must pass company paid physical examination.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability To
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently, 70 lbs. occasionally.
Education And Experience
• Must have understanding of nature and hazards of sanitation chemicals.
Physical/Safety Requirements
• Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting.
• Lift and maneuver materials, tools, and objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Endure bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and work in hot temperatures.
