JOB SUMMARY:
R eports directly to the Senior Director- Revenue Cycle. The Manager of Revenue Cycle, Patient Access is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing current and future strategies to optimize the cash flow of the health system. This position is also responsible for managing the functions and staff required for timely and accurate pre-arrival, point of service registration and billing functions health system wide. This includes scheduling, pre-registration, pre-certification, price estimation, financial counseling, point-of-service registration, point-of-service cash collection, financial counseling, and resolution of billing edits. Also responsible for ensuring the creation of and adherence to procedures compliant with all federal and state regulatory requirements, JACHO requirements and payor requirements to support timely and accurate registration, as well as collection and coordination of insurance coverage to ensure reimbursement of care provided without placing an unnecessary financial burden upon the patient. This includes the management of regulatory and billing compliance, establishing working relationships with clinical colleagues (provider and nursing) at both the department and practice site levels across the organization, managing working relationships with third-party payers, account analyses and ensuring staff productivity and quality expectations are set at appropriate levels and are met regularly, optimizing best business practices and achieving best results. The Team Manager, Shift Lead, Senior Associates, and individual contributors may report directly to this individual.
M INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree plus 4 years job related experience within Provider & Patient Access Services required or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Previous Management Or Leadership Experience Required

Possess ability to set goals and inspire staff to work together to accomplish the goals
Possess critical thinking skills and ability to analyze data
Possess ability to break a process into each component task and then rebuild into a more efficient and/or effective process
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Possess a polished and professional demeanor
Ability to create, communicate and build consensus around a vision for exceptional registration services to patients, families and all PSH colleagues
Ability to interact effectively with leadership, both clinical and non-clinical, throughout the institution
Possess project management skills for small process improvement projects
Possess a solid understanding of financial IT systems used throughout the revenue cycle
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree preferred
