Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Salary: $100-120K
Bonus: Quarter bonus (based on sales, starts & closings)
OTE: $200-248K
Must Haves:
• Associate’s degree
• 5+ years of new home/builder sales experience
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Suite
• Experience meeting metrics, KPIs,
• Needing to be solutions orientated and self-starter mentality
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with customers. People person.
Plusses:
• Currently an Area Manager for a builder
• Mortgage experience
• 1 year of management experience
Day to Day :
The Sales Area Manager provides leadership and performance oversight for multiple new home communities within a defined territory of Houston North East. This role drives sales results through coaching, accountability, and strategic execution while ensuring a consistent, high‑quality customer experience. This is a highly field‑based role, with frequent visits to assigned communities in addition to being in office every Monday.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead sales operations across multiple communities to achieve revenue and performance goals
• Coach and develop Sales Representatives through field observation, feedback, and training
• Monitor traffic, conversion rates, backlog, and KPIs; implement strategies to improve results
• Ensure model homes meet brand standards and maintain professional sales environments
• Partner with marketing, Online Sales Concierge, and corporate teams to optimize lead generation
• Review contracts, pricing, and incentives for policy compliance and profitability
• Collaborate with construction and operations teams on inventory, home readiness, and buyer communication
• Analyze market trends, competition, and buyer behavior to guide sales strategy
• Responsible for negotiations with real estate partners and customer interactions.
• Will be overseeing 16+ sales reps and responsible for hiring on an additional this year.
